Lauren Julia McKinney

Glasgow born Soprano is currently in her third year of Undergraduate study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Margaret Izatt. Beginning her vocal studies at the age of 11, Lauren began her studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2012 when she attended the Junior Conservatoire. She later continued into full-time study in 2015. A competent choral performer, Lauren has performed in several large-scale choirs, including the National Youth Choir of Scotland. With the National Youth Choir of Scotland, Lauren has taken part in a tour of the United States and performed under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner at the BBC Proms also in 2016. Lauren has performed at several International Festivals, including the Aberdeen International Youth Festival and the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago.
