Laura Pähkel

Welcome! I'm Laura, a passionate flutist from Estonia with over 17 years of experience playing the flute. I've always been captivated by the magic of music, and my journey has taken me from my little hometown Pärnu in Estonia to studying at the Royal College of Music in London. In 2023, I completed my Bachelor's degree, and I'm now finishing my postgraduate studies, graduating in July 2025. My love for performing and sharing music with others is what truly drives me, and it's a privilege to be able to connect with audiences through my flute. Recently I had the honour of performing with the RCM Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under the direction of Martyn Brabbins (music director of English National Opera 2016-2023) as principal flute. Last year, I toured Europe with the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, playing on grand stages and bringing to life the music from "The Nutcracker" in the form of a countinuous atmospheric concert - a truly magical experience! In addition, I've had the privilege of giving countless solo and chamber recitals. I'm currently at the start of my new project "Fantasy Flute", which is a creative journey that brings to life the iconic film scores of cherished fantasy worlds like The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and beyond. With a blend of whimsical costumes and serene natural landscapes, I record and perform these magical melodies, hoping to transport listeners to distant realms through music and visual storytelling. This passion project combines my love for film, books, music, and the beauty of the world around us, and I can’t wait to see where it leads! I'm passionate about bringing the timeless elegance of the flute more into the events world, with it's unique sound and graceful presence. I can create unforgettable experiences by blending music and atmosphere, having the power of transforming any occasion into something truly special.
