Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line-up is a quartet with myself on clarinet/soprano saxophone, with piano, double bass and drums. Depending on the event and atmosphere required, we also offer a trio with Clarinet/Sop sax, Piano and Drums OR Double Bass, as well as a quintet with the addition of Guitar/Banjo.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be as flexible as possible, and if the timings do change prior to the day of the event, that is absolutely no problem - just let us know! We do however charge extra by the hour for delays that occur on the day if they impact our performance timings.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely, just let us know if you would like us to arrange to have a playlist ready for in between our sets and before we perform.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the size of the ensemble and instrumentation, we would need between 30 minutes to 1 hour to set up and sound check. We will always aim to arrive 1.5 hours prior to performance, unless otherwise requested!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists for performances are always curated with the event and atmosphere in mind, but I’m always happy to chat with clients in the consultation to ensure we work out something that will fit your event and what you want.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA/sound equipment is included in the cost, but we do not provide lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn’t included in our song list, but it’s an early jazz standard, there is a chance we may already know it - however if there is something specific you would like us to learn that we don’t know, there is a fee of £50 for this service, to cover the cost of the admin and rehearsal time involved in learning it.
