Konstancja Smolorz

Born in 1996, in Poland, Konstancja began her violin studies at the age of 7. She graduated from Karol Szymanowski Music School in Katowice in 2015 in violin class of Adam Wagner. Konstancja is currently studying with Levon Chilingirian at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Konstancja participated in many workshops and masterclasses, during which she had a pleasure to work with distinguished violinists including Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Bartlomiej Niziol, Jan Stanienda, Jakub Jakowicz, Rainer Honeck, Ingolf Turban, Jenifer Pike, Boris Kucharsky and Alfredo Garcia Serrano. Konstancja is also a laureate of numerous prizes in many competitions, including 1st Prize on London Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition 2015, 2nd Prize on Paris Grand Prize Virtuoso Competiton 2015, 3rd Prize on International ‘Young Paganini’ Violin Competition 2014. As a soloist, she performed several times with Symphony Orchestra of Silesian Philharmonic. With the same Orchestra, she has recorded “Faust Fantasy” by Henryk Wieniawski as a part of ‘Europa Ante Portas’ project. As a musician, Konstancja has performed as part of numerous ensembles, receiving tuition from Evan Rothstein, Carole Presland, Jacquelline Ross, Caroline Palmer, Levon Chilingirian, Tom Poster, Matthew Jones and the Endellion Quartet. Her piano trio was recently the youngest finalists at the Guildhall School’s Ivan Sutton Award.
