Vocalist and band Leader Kitty Whitelaw has been singing professionally for over a decade in Theatre, TV and Film. Originally from Scotland she has sung in London, Paris, Berlin and Singapore. Her music has also been played on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 6. Kitty and her band regularly perform around the UK for private birthday parties, corporate events and weddings. Most recent venues in London include Cafe de Paris, The Hippodrome Casino, EARTH Hackney, Union Chapel and above the Arts theatre in the Westend. Kitty sings Jazz, Swing, Soul, French Chanson and modern day pop classics in a vintage style (Post-Modern Jukebox). She can create bespoke setlists for clients that include song requests for a certain part of the event if arranged in advance. This option is very popular for weddings or special birthday parties! Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I can be very flexible. We have had events where we have had to change the order of songs to fit in a a special request because of things running late. We always try and make it work.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can play music on an ipod before and between our sets. We have a selection of playlists we can suggest.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrive and set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up, I like to do a short soundcheck to make sure we provide the best possible sound. We can provide a free playlist on an ipod to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready before our live performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course. I want people to choose the music they love the most!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

A PA is included in the quote that I have used for most of our events. Unfortunately we cannot provide a PA suitable for a space larger than a capacity of 100 people, a stage or Lighting. In the past we have worked with venues to help clients find this if it is required.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I offer two free song requests for special moments during the performance. In the past we have had song requests for the arrival of the birthday girl/boy, the birthday cake presentation, and of course wedding first dances, walking down the aisle etc. We plan timings before the event to make sure its played at the perfect time.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I have a really personal approach to our concerts and try to play music in a way that really suits the event. Clients in the past have commented positively on our attention to detail and creating a wonderful experience for their guests.
