John first met Kit when guesting on guitar with the band One Jump Ahead, which Kit leads (and whose profile is also on Encore). They discovered a common love of 1960s songs by artists like the Everly Brothers, Sam Cooke and the Drifters as well as blues and jazz material. They began performing as a duo and started writing songs together. Like many professional musicians, they each perform with a number of different bands and also work as soloists. Such is the demand for their services that they don't get the chance to work as a duo as often as they'd like but they're always open to offers!
