The Kings String Quartet are a highly experienced and professional group have played in top venues in the UK and internationally. The ensemble formed in 2007 and have been performing at events in the Midlands and throughout the UK ever since. We use ultramodern tablets to perform, creating a slick, modern and professional look. We also offer a fantastic and innovative service to your guests, allowing them to make song requests on the day in person or via WhatsApp by scanning a QR code provided which links directly to our repertoire list. We play music for any occasion but we can also offer a 1 hour ‘Kings Play Queen’ set playing all of your favourite Queen hits and will even dress for the occasion! We tailor our performance to suit your specific requirements and work with you every step of the way in the event planning. Whether you are looking for traditional classical music or a more contemporary feel, we have the versatility to provide exactly the right music and vibe for the occasion. On the day all we require from you is 4 chairs and a jug of water! We care of everything else leaving you free to fully enjoy your event and the music. Dan and the Kings Strings were an absolute joy to work with. They were extremely self sufficient and low maintenance which was greatly appreciated whilst I was managing other elements of our event. Their performances sounded incredible and several of our guests said they had goosebumps listening to them. They were so flexible on the day as there was an unexpected delay to our guests' coach so they very kindly adjusted their preplanned set times in order to accommodate this and ensure the guests were wowed on arrival, and our guests certainly were! They played an eclectic mix of songs that our international guests recognised with a stunning, classical twist. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Booking the Kings quartet for our wedding ceremony and reception drinks was 100% the best decision we made in our planning process! Daniel was totally accommodating of everything we wanted and the performance on the day was just perfection. Our guests were blown away and were even more excited to make requests after the ceremony, which was so much fun. They made our day so special, I cannot recommend them enough!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We play a huge variety of music and always try and give the client the music they want. However being The Kings Quartet we do enjoy playing a lot of Queen!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Played at a G8 conference which was attended by the then Prince Charles

Do you have different line-up options?

We can perform as a quartet or a trio. However not all our repertoire is available when performing as a trio

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can accommodate changes up to one month prior to the booking date and subject to the players being available for the additional time.

How much time do you need to set up?

20-30 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes. You can pre-select songs or on the day you or your guests can select any song via our interactive QR code

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. All we require is 4 armless chairs and enough space to play

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes. We require at least 2 months notice for songs not in our repertoire. The first is free and additional songs are between £30- £60 each or you can source them for us.
