I asked Dave Taylor and his keyboard player Mark to support my 60th birthday party by playing some background Jazz. They were fantastic. Do you have different line-up options?

We have options to expand our usual setup of Piano and Sax. We could add a drummer or bassist to make a trio or both to form a quartet. Alternatively, for a completely acoustic set, I could invite my amazing guitarist friend to replace the piano. In this setting, we could wander freely too.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can cope with timing changes but you need to be aware that if this means playing beyond midnight, further charges will be made. This becomes difficult if the change affects our ability to honour subsequent bookings. For instance, changing an event from afternoon to evening when we have accepted an evening booking to go on to after your event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide background music between our sets and this is free. We can offer a DJ service via our PA after our last set is finished up to when the event finishes. We charge an additional £150 for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up in about 30-40 minutes. Once we are set up, usually an hour before our performance, we can provide a free playlist to get the atmosphere going and set the scene for the event.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Absolutely, but only if I bring a guitarist rather than a pianist. Of course, this will need to be notified at the time of booking.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, of course. We're happy to play your list or select from our massive repertoire of jazz standards. We're also very happy to chat through your requirements and help select the right tunes to create the vibe you want.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, absolutely. We use a small PA that is suitable for up to 150 guests and have lights included.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We're very happy to learn special request songs. Being incredibly versatile musicians, there's a good chance we could accommodate special requests on the fly at the event. Who doesn't like a challenge!?
