I deliver daily performances to the highest standards as Lead Trumpet & Assistant Musical Director for Regent Signature Orchestra aboard Regent Seven Seas Mariner 6* cruise ship and currently with many internationally renowned artists on board Carnival P&O cruise ships Ventura & Arcadia. I perform all types of music; Classical, TV/Film, Musical theatre, Swing/Jazz, Wedding, Big Band, etc. I am a proficient sight-reader. During my 14-year career in the Royal Marines Band Service I was privileged to perform as part of Her Majesty Royal Band playing at many prestigious concerts and occasions over the years, often performing solo pieces. Since leaving the Royal Marines Band Service I have been working as a freelance musician performing regularly at a variety of events, teaching private students. I started playing the trumpet from just 5 years old and my passion for music remains as strong as ever. I have experience in recording for TV and radio, live performance, musical theatre and other local concerts. I am experienced in playing a variety of different pitch trumpets as well as flugel horn, cornet, post horn, fanfare, piccolo and bugle. ROYAL MARINES BAND SERVICE CAREER. September 1996 to January 2010 For the latter years in the Royal Marines Band Service I was the Principal Cornet/Trumpet player in the Royal Marines Band Plymouth, involving leading & advising the section and during which time I performed solos and various concerts at all major venues around the world including the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall and recording various CD's and DVD's I spent 6 months in Cyprus working as part of the Cyprus Reinforcement Unit guarding key intelligent sites in 2007. During the fire fighter strikes in 2002, I was trained and deployed with the Green Goddesses based in RNAS Yeovilton as a Fire Fighter. As part of The Royal Band, Solo Cornet/Trumpet player in Royal Marines Band Portsmouth, I per- formed at many high profile events during my Royal Marine Band career such as: The Edinburgh Tat- too, The Festival of Remembrance at The Royal Albert Hall, many Royal state occasions; Queen Mother’s Funeral 2002, Prince Edward and Sophie’s wedding 1999. I trained as a 'Cornet and Violin Player' at the Royal Marines School of Music, HMS Nelson, Portsmouth for two and a half years where I achieved the higher M3 qualification in 1999. M3 musician qualification 1999 This is a performance and exam based Royal Marines Band Service qualification. The training required multiple high profile performances with minimum of two instruments over two and a half years. My principle instrument being the trumpet (including flugel horn, cornet, post horn, fanfare trumpet, piccolo trumpet, bugle and a variety of different pitched trumpets) and my secondary instrument was the violin.
