Kevin is currently in his final year of the Bachelor of music with Honors program at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has been studying under the tuition of Scottish guitarist Ian Watt and Jazz Guitarist Malcolm Macfarlane. As well has having experience in several different styles of music, Kevin has focused his main area of study to the Classical Guitar. Since joining the Conservatoire, Kevin has become an avid performer in the guitar world and has performed in several concerts and master classes internationally at various prestigious guitar festivals such as, ‘Suono Chitarra e natura’ in Bergamo Italy. The Classical Guitar Retreat (Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland). The Ullapool Guitar Festival, The 22nd Koblenz International Guitar Festival & Academy, Koblenz Germany, Folkwang International Guitar Competition and The 24th International Guitar Symposium, Iserlohn, Germany. In addition to performing at an international level Kevin also performs at home in Scotland. He has become a regular performer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s esteemed lunchtime concert series, as well as the Big Guitar Weekend. in 2015 he performed alongside the guitarists of the Royal Conservatoire at the Glasgow Minimal Festival, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Performing Steve Reich’s ‘Electric Counterpoint’ with the composer himself in attendance. Kevin has studied in master classes and received training from guitar virtuosos and musicians such as; Pavel Steidl, Stephen Goss, Marcin Dylla, Tomasz Zawierucha, Jan Depreter, Zoran Dukić, Tilman Hoppstock, Paul Galbraith, Allan Neave, Danielle Cummings, Tom Johnson, Guitalian Quartet, Amanda Cook, Julian Byzantine, James Akers, Matthew McAlister, Jose Antonio Escobar and Italian Lutenist Massimo Lonardi. As well as performing as a solo guitarist Kevin is extremely passionate when performing as a chamber musician. Since 2015 he has been performing with the Glasgow Guitar Quartet. The GGQ made their concert debut at The Ullapool Guitar Festival, as well as performing alongside renowned guitarists, such as Professor Allan Neave and Sean Shibe. Since their inception, the Glasgow Guitar Quartet have actively pursued a diverse range of performance platforms and repertoire. Most recently, they have performed at The Big Guitar Weekend, the Royal Conservatoireof Scotland, Sofarsounds London, Glasgow City Halls, The 2016 Banjo, Mandolin & Guitar Festival, International Corde D'Autunno in Milan, Italy & The Association of European Conservatoires Annual Congress.
