I am a solo artist playing events and weddings all over the country as well as Europe. I have a wide repertoire of songs from Sam Cooke and the Beatles up to Bruno Mars and George Ezra. I have been a full time musician for over 15 years and I'm well versed in being able to cater for any kind crowd playing songs to suit each event. I am happy to work with you and can tailor a package to fit your event with regards to song choices, timings, lighting etc. I also run and perform in 4 other bands up to a 10 piece function band so there are many options to suit any event.

Brilliant gig in Brewhouse & Kitchen, the entire pub was singing along, people dancing. Such a great atmosphere which wouldn’t have been in the air without such good music.

The guys at Rooster are amazing - not only are they talented musicians, they’re fun and easy going - the perfect combo for your event band! I have hired them on numerous occasions for events I’ve organised and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If the timings happen to change after booking or even over the course of the evening, I will do my best to be as flexible as possible to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional cost which will depend on timings.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can usually set up in about 1 hour before the performance time (subject to an easy load in of equipment). As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I tend to play the crowd and the set list evolves over the course of the evening but if you have a look at my set before hand you are welcome to select a number of songs you'd definitely like played.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Everything is provided by myself, all I need is sufficient power.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I have a varied set and love what I do and always get the crowd singing and dancing creating a great atmosphere. Review... "I’ve had Kev play several times at parties at home with all my friends . He is definately the magic ingredient that makes all my friends love my parties as they all end up dancing all night . Totally recommend him for a memorable party"

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have played in some amazing venues all over the country, locally some of them are:- River Cottage, Wembley Stadium, Royal Hampton Flower ShowThe Larmer Tree, The BIC and many many more.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I have many influences from Bruce Springsteen, Sam Cooke, The Beatles, Foy Vance, up to First Aid Kit, John Mayer and Mumford and Sons.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have played some amazing events and parties but The Royal Hampton Flower Show and River Cottage have been two of my favourites.
