Ken Swing

Ken is a jazz, swing and 'easy listening' singer and recording artist, performing songs from the great era of swing through to the fantastic sounds of the sixties, as well as his own songs. He embarked on a professional music career after a successful career in the National Health Service, during which he sang in many fine amateur choirs, including the world renowned BBC Symphony Chorus. Unusually, however, Ken is also an accomplished classical tenor (where he uses his own name - Ken McCarthy) and, as such, is in great demand for recitals and is a regular soloist in choral concerts, in which he has performed at venues throughout the UK and Europe, most recently in Amsterdam, Leiden, Ghent and Paris. A native of London, Ken lives in Rochester in Kent, where he has the honour of being a trustee of the Rochester and North Kent Music and Drama Festival.
