I hold a grade 8 in drums and a BMUS in music performance which I was awarded through Tech Music School London (now known as BIMM London). As part of the course I learnt a large range of styles such as jazz, funk, soul, rock, pop, reggae, RnB, Trip Hop, Hip Hop and blues. I have whilst studying and since graduating been working full time as a musician playing for several artists some of which I have listed below. ROCH: ROCH is a BBC introducing solo artist, she is under a management contract and has offered to me some amazing opportunities. With ROCH I have played such venues as Paradiso in Amsterdam & Koko in Camden playing to over 1000 fans. I’ve also done live radio session’s with ROCH for Dermot O'Leary on BBC Radio 2. Within Kate's band I run backing tracks and samples through my SPD-SX trigger pad. In session with Dermot I also played cajon and provided backing vocals. David Sinclair 4: David is a blues based guitarist, who runs his own original band, touring all over the UK. He has recently been signed to a small indie label that specialises in his area of music, British blues rock. With David I have traveled the country doing small tours of the midlands and southern coast playing in Liverpool, Cheshire, Manchester, Brighton, Hull and some clubs within Wales. 29 Fingers: As one of the largest function bands in the country I have played several gigs with them all over the UK. It calls on me being comfortable playing a large array of styles by artists such as Blondie, Elvis and Bryan Adams. Within the 29 Fingers I play drums and I’m hired on the basis that I am professional and reliable. Edges: As one of the founding members of Edges I have been involved in all aspects of the music business from recording to PR. We have as a collective worked with some great producers one of them being Joe Fields who has worked with such artists as Paul McCartney, Amy MacDonald and The Mystery Jets. We have also performed at some great venues within London such as The Roundhouse (where we are currently in Residency), Barfly and Notting Hill Arts Club. Within Edges I act not only as the drummer and backing vocalist, but also as a producer and engineer for the band. In Edges I work heavily with samples and within logic, which has been a natural lead on from my studies in music production and contemporary music performance. Axel Jansson - A Swedish guitar lead band, combining sounds of Mumford and Sons with Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer. Within which I played drums and can be heard on several recordings. Shao Hao - A Chinese born artist, who I’ve recorded with for his soon to be released 2nd EP. I have also had the privilege to play alongside Shao when he graced the stage at The Roundhouse as part of their intimate “In The Round” Performances. FADES - An Alt Rock band similar to Queens of the Stone Age and Muse. In FADES I am the drummer and can be heard on the EP Falling Into Place and soon to be released Breaking Through The Walls. Fuze - With a sound that combines Rock and funk guitars, Fuze are somewhere between Incubus, Muse and The 1975. For Fuze I have recorded over 20 tracks and can be seen and heard in multiple live and official music videos. Jukerox - My own function band, now running for over 4 years combines friends that I have played with for years. Within Jukerox I am the chief arranger and band leader organising everything from Insurance to PAT's. Outside of these projects I have also had opportunities to play the Shepherds Bush Empire for my schools graduation and at St Georges Hall Liverpool where I performed as part of a pit band doing a tribute to the Jersey Boys musical. In my spare time I rehearse and work with Big Bands practicing and performing as much as possible to keep up my reading skills. As a footnote, I can provide all my own gear and currently have three drum kits at my disposal, one is a small jazz kit suitable for functions, big bands and Jazz gigs. The second is a bigger kit ideal for studio recordings and stage work and the third is an electronic kit. Along with this I also have; my own car for commuting, a Laptop with Logic, a Cajon for acoustic work and an SPD-SX trigger pad for live sampling.
