My name is Katie and I am a 2017 music graduate from the University of Birmingham. During my time at university I had lessons at Birmingham Conservatoire and took performance modules as part of my degree. I graduated overall with 2:1 Hons with a 2:1 in solo performance. I have been playing violin since the age of 7 and have Grade 8 distinction. During my spare time at university I was a member of the University of Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra for three years and toured both Tuscany and Amsterdam with the orchestra. I have also played in the band for many university musical theatre productions as well as in the band for local amateur dramatics productions in Peterborough. I am currently a part time violin teacher in Peterborough but taught in primary schools in Birmingham for three years as a teacher at The String's Club. I am a classically trained musician but enjoy playing music from a wide variety of genres! Before moving to Birmingham I used to play in a quartet for weddings and other functions and am looking to start a new quartet!
