Katherine graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2011 with a B.Mus Hons degree and then completed a masters degree in 2012 at the Royal College of Music, where she was an RCM scholar, supported by the Arthur Wilson trombone award and the Henry Wood trust. In 2015 she completed a PGCE with the institute of education and is now a fully qualified primary school teacher. Professionally, Katherine has performed with the Philharmonia Brass Quintet, South Bank Sinfonia and the London Jazz Orchestra. She also played trombone in the West end show Elf the musical. Besides performing, Katherine is a well established music teacher, she works part- time teaching primary music. She also performs with the live music now scheme, going into special schools giving workshops and concerts.
