Katherine Davies

Born in Cornwall, Katherine has played woodwind instruments since an early age, starting with the recorder and progressing to Clarinet and then Flute. She enjoys playing all woodwind instruments and is a member of several local groups. Katherine is based in Camborne, teaching from the studios at Trevada Music and visiting pupils and schools locally. She offers tuition on Clarinet, Flute, Bassoon, Saxophone, Oboe and Recorder as well as Music Theory. Lessons Katherine welcomes pupils of all ages and abilities, using her experience and knowledge to tailor lessons to suit individuals and their goals, whether that be exams, performances or just learning to play an instrument because you love the sound. Graded exams can be worked for and Katherine follows the Associated Board syllabus, but is happy to use other exam boards to suit pupils. Music Theory tuition can also be provided and whilst this often forms part of instrumental lessons to support understanding, specific coaching can be given and is recommended for pupils looking to attain higher performing grades. Musician / Performer As well as teaching the full range of woodwind instruments, Katherine rehearses and performs regularly with a number of local groups, from Quartets to full Orchestras.
