"Think Paco De Lucia meets Astrud Gilberto!" Leading this charming duo is singer-songwriter Kate Thomas who began her career in Italian Opera and has since travelled the world performing in many different languages and genres that include: jazz, latin & gypsy music. Back in 2014 Kate was the only solo artist to make it through to the Battle of the Bands final at the Boisdale, she has extensively toured in France and has had the pleasure of gracing stages at Glastonbury, Ronnie Scott's, The Bulls Head and the Green Note to name but few. Joining Kate to make up this duo is classically trained Jazz-Fusion-Flamenco guitarist Andres Miranda. Undeniably influenced by New Flamenco Guitarist Paco De Lucia Andres's playing style will stun you with incredible control, passion, duende and effortless creativity. And this is what they have been saying about them! "Promising to take the audience on “A Journey Through Bohemia”, as her culturally diversely influenced show is titled, Kate did not disappoint." - ARTHOUSE MUSIC "Delightful Show!" - BTL JAZZ "Sultry dame" - ALL ABOUT JAZZ "Where the energy of rock blends in with the intimacy of folk" - A&R FACTORY "Will make you want to watch Chocolat again." - FREQUENCY 21 This Duo perform regularly at the well established jazz, roots and world music venues in and around London and are regularly booked for music, art, culture events, private events and festivals in London and beyond. Notable live shows include; Acklam Village Market (Supporting The London Gypsy Orchestra), Grow, Arthouse Music, Escape Bar West "Fete Accompli" Music & Art Event, The Bulls Head Jazz Club, Green Note, BTL Jazz, BBC Radio London’s - Jumoke Fashola’s Jazz Verse Jukebox at Hoxton Halll (Headliners for their annual “Ones to Watch” - 2018), Fishery Wharf Jazz Festival, Toulouse Lautrec, Spice of Life, El Garito, Nightjar, The Boisdale (Finalists in the Battle of the Bands 2014), Ronnie Scott’s, The RARE Jazz Festival & are regularly booked for Flat50 Arts Management Events. "One of the most entertaining and engaging shows I have ever experienced ... Kate’s phenomenal charisma and encouragement of audience interaction created an electric atmosphere ... an exceptionally talented performer; the audience singing along, dancing and rewarding every song with rapturous appreciation ... such a superb talent" - ARTHOUSE MUSIC "Such a pleasure hosting this massive talent pool. Will be seeing again!" - ESCAPE BAR WEST Larger line-ups available - please get in touch (Percussion, Trumpet, Bass, Drums, Piano, Guitar)
