Kate studied at Dartington College of Arts, gaining a BAhons degree in music, later going onto get an MA in Community music in Limerick. Now based in Scotland, she spent 10 yrs in Ireland, and plays Irish and Scottish music, as well as other European folk music. She calls ceilidhs, playing in her own band, speaks French and regularly plays and teaches in France as well as the UK.

Thank you both so much for an excellent fun ceilidh on Saturday. The music was superb and commented on by so many people, and really found helpful that you were able to guide us through so many of the dances! If ever I need to book a ceilidh band again (or anyone else i know) will be sure to recommend you.
