Kat is an Amsterdam based Soprano from Brighton, who is currently completing her masters in performance under Sinan Vural and Xenia Mejer.

Kat Carson is a British soprano currently living and working in the Netherlands. After graduating from Sussex University with a first class BA in Music, she has moved to Amsterdam and is working towards her Masters under Sinan Vural at Tilburg Hogeschool vor de Kunsten and with Xenia Mejer in Amsterdam. Kat has worked with ensembles from The Sixteen and Musica Secreta to Galician group Resonet, and was a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. She has also performed in some of the largest venues in the UK and abroad; from the Royal Albert Hall to various English Cathedrals and has performed on BBC Radio 3 on multiple occasions. She has had the privilege of being coached by Neil Jenkins, Dame Felicity Lott, Deborah Roberts (The Tallis Scholars), Mercedes Hernandez and Fernando Reyes Ferron (Resonet), David Wilson-Johnson, Chris Bucknell and William Carslake. She has also been conducted by Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel Howard Goodall and Jos van Veldhoven. She was the recipient of the Springboard Festival’s Madame Mimi Scharrer cup. She is currently working with her ensembles Nymphs et Monstres, who will be performing in the Rijksmuseum soon, and Trio Dilectio, with whom she will be touring the UK in early 2018. Kat’s recent solo performances include a performance of Carissimi's Jonas & Jepthe with the Sweelink Baroensemble in the Utrecht Fringe, a semi-staged luchconcert performance of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas at the National Opera and Ballet as a part of the Herengracht Young Artist Development Studio, and a tour of the Netherlands with The Sixteen. She recently sang on an upcoming CD of newly discovered music with early music group Musica Secreta.
