Karina Bell BA (Hons), DipABRSM, PGCE, ATCL Karina has over a decade of experience playing at weddings in Oxfordshire and further afield. She studied music at the University of East Anglia, specialising in flute and piano before taking up the harp under the tutorage of Catherine White. She has played for many orchestras, including the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, the UEA Orchestra, the Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra and more recently many local orchestras including the Banbury Symphony Orchestra, The Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra, The Cherwell Orchestra and the Beauchamp Sinfonietta. Karina played harp and flute for the RSC’s productions of The Christmas Truce, Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies and featured on the soundtrack for the Broadway Production of Wolf Hall. Karina also works as an accompanist and Musical Director as well as having a busy teaching practise, both in piano and harp.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I will aim to arrive at least 45mins prior to performance time.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Absolutely - I've included all travel costs including the transport of my harp, in the quotes. Please note that I will need parking near the event.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

I am happy to play outside in good weather, but will need shade and a hard surface to stand the harp on. I am unable to play outside if it is raining or excessively cold as the instrument is valuable and could be damaged.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My list is for guidance so do feel free to let me know if there are specific pieces you would like to be included/excluded, but I add music all the time so do ask if there's a piece you would like that is not on the list.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am happy to look into learning a specific piece for a ceremony booking and will let you know if it will be suitable for the harp.
