Kooskoos have been about serving soulful tunes to the weekend crowds of Belfast City and beyond. The band have been regulars in the top city venues such as the classic Dirty Onion, the Lark and the luxiouris Fitzwilliam Hotel: part soloist, part duet, part cover band and original music. The band regulary participates in the City of Derry Jazz Festival and in 2022, won the best live performance award at the international Banbridge Buskfest. The bands popular configurations start from the 3-piece all the way up to a 6-piece, usually with brass and winds! There is no style they won't do and try to keep things unique without directly copying songs they cover. The instrumentation consists of vocals, guitars, bass, keyboard, saxophone and drums and sound and lighting can be provided as well. Kooskoos is proud to support all kind of weddings! And as a collective of musicians, our players as well. 💍🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

The band were great! They made our wedding party such fun and bought such good vibes! Everyone commented on how fabulous they were. And then the DJ they supplied really finished the party in style! Thanks everyone :)

We had Kooskoos perform at our wedding and they were fab! Our guests were up dancing nonstop and we got lots of great compliments on the music! The communication and planning beforehand was very easy and overall they were very fun and we would definitely recommend them!

Kooskoos were absolutely unbelievable from start to finish. Loads of communication beforehand about set up, vibe of the set, and ion the night they were just fantastic! I did not leave the dance floor once- they did everything from Busted to David Bowie, Foo Fighters to Chappell Roan. Band are amazing craic on and off the stage. Honestly best night ever- thank you guys so much!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our banter, we've been told we're good and down-to-earth, we hope that's true!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Everyone we play!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Technically we performed for Queen & Billie Ellish, as in they were heading out the door as we were playing in the Fitzwilliam... We also supported General Fiasco, but we were playing football on the same team... but we’ve also played for regal cigarettes and the international world judo federation.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line can switch between a 2-piece & a 6-piece. Our 4-piece+ usually contains a lead guitarist, keyboard or saxophone player, this just depends on availability. Weddings: We can sort music for the ceremony, drinks reception, evening band and have a DJ and Sax to end the night.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We're quite flexible! Just keep in touch with us and we'll do our best to make it work.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We’re quite flexible with requests like this. But damaged equipment may incur an additional fee depending on the extent of the damages. We can provide a DJ

How much time do you need to set up?

Please allow for an hour before the event. We can also arrange to come earlier before the start time if needed, however please bare in mind that extra time will have additional fees for peoples time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Our singer can get have a wireless mic. Our bassist has a long lead! Our Sax player has a wirelress rig. So potentially!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes of course! We recommend you get in touch with your suggestions ahead of time to help us practice!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes indeed! We provide sound and lighting in our quotes. You will need to let us know if it is not required. If you have any speacial requests for equipment such as using mics for speeches or having speakers setup up for music before the performance may add extra time and will have additional fees for peoples time.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

YES YES YES! We're just excited to play something new! We have provided a song list here, do bare in mind we are constantly changing our set and may not have played some songs in while due to the nature of our gigs.
