*Ceilidhs / Barn Dances *Bagpiper available for hire *Solo performances / Musical entertainment * Street organ for hire Bagpipes: I specialise in playing the great Highland bagpipes around Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Suffolk and beyond. I have appeared on the BBC News and radio many times over the years and known locally as The Fenland Piper. I have been playing the bagpipes since the age of 10, winning many bagpipe competitions and awards during this time. I am an excellent choice for wedding celebrations, funerals, birthday parties, and any other special event you can think of... New Years' Eve and Burns' Night being extremely popular. Ceilidhs / Barn Dances: I have played the melodeon and saxophone for over 10 years now. I play with The Dennis Cuddles Starlight Band (DCSB), offering ceilidhs all over the Fens and beyond. The band has been alive for over 40 years, and we know how to put on a fun, jazz-infused traditional ceilidh. We play a lot of East Anglian and English tunes but add in a few Scottish and Irish folk tunes too. You can also book me separately as I work closely with a talented, energetic, and charismatic caller, Ollie Simons. For those of you unfamiliar with ceilidhs, this is the person that calls the dance moves. We are a great team and know how to get everyone up and dancing between us. This is an excellent choice for the smaller budget – sometimes a little makes a lot… in this case, we create a whole lot of fun between the two of us! Solo Performances / Musical entertainment: Although my speciality is playing the bagpipes and melodeon and saxophone at ceilidhs, I am often booked for other musical events. I have performed as festive background music for Christmas markets, playing the melodeon. I have played the saxophone at weddings. I am very versatile and very customer focused.
