Vocalist/pianist/songwriter/percussionist/ teacher Julie Dunn has a classically trained background studying music to a high level (BA Hons/Ma Mus/LTCL Piano Diploma) & loves to perform in a variety of genres including jazz, blues, latin, soul, pop, acoustic , country, folk-rock & all sorts of weird & wonderful combinations of these! She always strives to connect with her audiences and has received plaudits from both critics and individuals after extensive performances in theatres, clubs, festivals and bars/clubs. Julie works with her favourite guitarist, sax player or double bassist in duo settings and performs virtually every genre including her own material. She adores beautiful ballads and loves the stripped back vibe of voice and acoustic instrument when singing emotional songs as much as the full-on sound of amplified instruments in a rock or pop setting.

As part of a regular Jazz & Blues night I suggested to Julie that a tribute to Elton John would work really well. Julie accepted the challenge and came up with a brilliant balance of slow numbers together with dance classics which got most of us on the dance floor! Rocketman, Someone saved my life tonight, Life on Mars, Your Song, Tiny Dancer, Crocodile Rock, Goodbye Yellowbrick Road, I'm still standing to name just a few tracks played! A very enjoyable night out. Now where did I leave those platform shoes?!!

"Julie worked with us before the night to produce a fantastic set that suited our joint 60th birthday party perfectly. Then, on the night, Julie and the band performed the set beautifully. The dance floor was full from start to finish, and many of our guests remarked how much they had enjoyed the music. Julie and the band helped make our party a truly memorable evening. I'll certainly recommend her to any friends who need a band!
