Jost Music

Hi, I am Nicholas Jost (Nick for short) a producer, music lover and technology enthusiast based in Southwark. I am a recent graduate of the University of Lincoln, with an honours degree in Sound and Music Production. Since moving down to London, I have set up my own studio space in Elephant and Castle at 9M Studios. Here I aim to create and collaborate with singer-songwriters, musicians, bands and anyone wanting to crystalize their musical vision. Hav- ing worked with a number of artists diverse in genre, with some significant radio exposure through the label I co-founded Jost Music Ltd, I now aim to realign our company to focus on developing music through enhanced production, mixing and mastering. Always looking at what’s next in the industry, I love to explore new genres, techniques and platforms to exploit the full potential of music that I help play a part in. I have a love of producing music to be used in different contexts and have produced a range of music that can be repurposed for a variety of uses from Films to Adverts to Songs. Writing in a hybrid genre allows adaptability and an ability to be diverse in approach. Alongside music production, I can edit audio, do audio post-production and sound design. This can be implemented in a range of projects in- including podcasts and sound for visual. My studio utilises the latest technologies with a range of modelling microphones including a pair of fantastic Antelope Audio Edge Duo microphones, capable of high definition emulation of iconic microphones (from Neumann to AKG) this further includes their emulating gear plugins. Aston microphones are a favourite of mine due to their versatility and their Great British sound, they are the daily drivers in the studio. For VST instruments the Native Instrument Komplete Suite is a favourite of mine. Contrasting this with the interesting sounds and instruments that spitfire audio produce really gives the ability to create a realm of possibilities.
