Customer questions

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I’ve always been heavily influenced by soulful legends such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Donny Hathaway and Anita Baker. I also love the timeless songwriting and musicianship of artists such as Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

One of my most high-profile performances was singing at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in York, where I performed across three weekends during the tournament. I’ve also performed at the ICC Birmingham for a major Specsavers corporate event for three consecutive years, sharing the event line-up with incredible artists including Lemar and Ruby Turner.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I completely understand that event timings can change! Small adjustments are usually no problem, so just let me know as soon as possible and I’ll do my best to accommodate them. If the changes significantly extend the booking time or require me to arrive considerably earlier or finish later than originally agreed, an additional fee may apply.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes! I can provide background music through my PA system before and between my live sets to help keep the atmosphere flowing. You’re welcome to provide a preferred playlist, or I can play a suitable selection of music to complement your event. Please note that this is a background music service rather than a full DJ service.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually require around 45–60 minutes to set up and complete a soundcheck before the performance. I always aim to be fully set up and ready well before your guests arrive or the performance is due to begin. For larger events or venues with more complex access or sound requirements, I may require a little extra time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to choose your favourites from my repertoire and let me know any songs you’d particularly love to hear. I’m also happy to use my experience to put together a set that flows naturally and suits the atmosphere of your event. I

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I bring everything I need for my performance, including my professional PA system, vocal microphone, cables and basic stage lighting. All I require from the venue is access to a suitable power supply and enough space to set up.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, absolutely! I’m happy to learn a special song for your event, whether it’s for your wedding ceremony, first dance or simply a song that means something to you. Please give me as much notice as possible so I have plenty of time to prepare it. Additional song requests may be subject to a small fee depending on the number of songs and preparation required.
