What do your clients love most about your performances?
I have as much fun as my audience - I love setting the mood with my music, and it's always an honour to be chosen to perform for an event. I'm an incredibly interactive and reactive performer - more than just the music.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
The Hull Truck Theatre and Lawrence Batley Theatre are both fantastic venues that I have played countless times.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Eric Marienthal's solos in the Gordon Goodwin Big Band never fail to put a smile on my face, and I simply love his blend of pop-rock with jazz. Sonny Rollins and Chet Baker are two of my favourite jazz artists, with soulful tones and gorgeous ballad styles.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I am flexible for slight timing changes and will always aim to arrive at least 1-2 hours before the set is due to begin.
How much time do you need to set up?
Approximately 45 minutes as a minimum to ensure everything with my instrument is warmed up/prepared to an excellent quality.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My setlist is crafted carefully and showcases classic saxophone repertoire as well as upbeat and catchy hits to ensure every guest has a fantastic time. This being said, I am happy to listen to and incorporate specific requests into my performance.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes! I play my own instrument acoustically, with pizazz.
