I have had the pleasure of working with Joshua for a good number of years, and he is a very adept and extremely sensitive musician. In my opinion, his greatest assets are his capacity for listening, and offering creative ideas as part of a group. These, along with his unwavering attention to detail, make him a truly rewarding musician to work with.

Joshua is always sensitive and responsive in his accompanying and I feel confident and at ease during our performances together. He sight-reads to a high standard, but always works hard to ensure he knows the music thoroughly before a performance and is a pleasure to work with.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No, I am unable to provide this service at present.

How much time do you need to set up?

It takes me 30 minutes to set up.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, I am happy to have a consultation session with you to pick music you would like from my set list. If there is any music you would like that isn't already on there, do let me know and I'd be happy to discuss whether it can be included.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, I can bring my own electric piano if there is not a suitable instrument at the venue. For violin sets, I can bring backing tracks and sound equipment. For organ performances, I require a functioning instrument at the church or venue.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. Depending on the piece of music, I can include 3 newly learnt pieces as part of my fee.
