Josh is coming to England from the end of July 2024 to early September and is taking bookings for ceremony and canapes around the region of London to Birmingham and everywhere in between. He covers styles from folk, soul, pop, classics and his own originals. He has played internationally for events as well as being in the top echelon of musicians in Melbourne for events such as The Grand Prix and The Australia Open Tennis. Ernest Aines has performed at our last two Christmas and team conference functions of about 100 people. His singing really made the events memorable, and the staff and suppliers requested him back by popular demand. We love his music, including soul covers, Christmas music, pop songs and his own originals which are particularly magic. It’s always a pleasure hearing Ernest Aines play, and we appreciate that he’s very self-sufficient and happy to be flexible depending on the type of event.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think they love to feel and connect with the songs! People say I am friendly and have a knack of making the right music choices for the guests at the event. I love music. I love people and making the event work!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

So many - including singer songwriter guitarists like Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, John Meyer to soul artists like Aretha Franklin and John Legend for their vocal abilities, and bluesy rootsy artists like Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder for their style and sound.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably The Australian Open or the Formula1 Grand Prix.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I am flexible - if timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know. If there is more than half an hour break between the ceremony and canapes, or relocation to another venue entirely, please let me know so I can take this into account when quoting.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is all included. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, I can provide this on an hourly rate- we can discuss.

How much time do you need to set up?

I set up about an hour before the performance time. I can provide a free playlist service before the wedding or after the event too to keep the atmosphere going as your guests mingle.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I am happy to discuss and make sure your tastes are catered for!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically. If it is hot or wet I request shelter for me and my equipment.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list I can learn it subject to playability and suitability. if there is more than one request there may be a fee of $50 to take into account rehearsal times etc.
