If you have a skill, keep hold of it, and don't let it go until the world knows! I started playing the piano when I was 8 and have had lessons every week since, I am now Grade 5. As I reached secondary school I found this buzz in performing and showing people what I can do, so I started entering school talent shows where I would play and sing pop songs. On top of this I would be in the school musicals every year so I became very well known for my musical ability there and I was very confident. Later on I started writing and composing my own songs (which you can look at on my YouTube page). I started out writing funny relatable songs, but in the future with more equipment I plan to explore and go further with this into more serious music. I learnt to play the guitar and ukulele to help me with my song writing and although my skills on those instruments aren't fully there, I can still bash out a tune and do enough to play in front of an audience! My life out of school consists of me volunteering at my local radio station Tulip Radio (107.5!), where I am a presenter. This has really helped me gain confidence in front of big audiences and helped me meet people from all walks of life. I am now studying Performing Arts BTEC Extended Diploma which I am loving and has really helped me with my on and off stage skills and I am going on to the University of Lincoln to study Drama (BA Hons) which I am very excited about. I hope that my musical skills fuel me through life and take me where I want to go.
