Joseph Warwick is a London-based award-winning guitarist of exceptional diversity, specialising in Classical & Flamenco guitar. Joseph provides musical entertainment for weddings, corporate events, parties and private recitals across the UK and Europe. His performance highlights include Royal Albert Hall: Elgar Room, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Theatre Royal Ustinov, Queen Elizabeth Hall Front Room, Latitude Festival, Bestival & Institute of Contemporary Arts.
Joseph plays in a vast number of different genres, from traditional Flamenco to Brazilian Bossa Nova, 17th Century Classical to Gypsy Jazz and modern day pop, all with musicality, creativity and finesse. Trained in Classical, Flamenco & Jazz guitar, Joseph has unique musical insight that enables him to create exciting arrangements of songs in a number of different styles to suit the occasion. This versatility follows the flow of varying moods between a wedding ceremony, reception and dinner and makes him suitable for a range of other events including parties, intimate dinners, funerals and private recitals.
Joseph attended the Junior Guildhall School of Music and currently studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire under world-renowned guitarist Graham Devine. In his first year he won the 'Alison Stephens' guitar competition. Alongside providing music for agencies and clients' events, Joseph collaborates with contemporary musicians, past projects including a booking from the British Film Institute & Bird's Eye View festival to compose and perform a live soundtrack to the original silent film of Chicago to critical acclaim. He has toured nationally and internationally, with shows at ‘Cork Midsummer festival’, Edinburgh, Brighton & Dublin Fringe festivals, ‘Ruhrfestspiele’ in Germany and ‘Teatr Muzycyny Capitol’ in Poland. He also performed at the after parties of theatre company Punch Drunk’s ‘Masque of the Red Death’ at Battersea Arts Centre in 2007.
