Joseph Myer Dawson

I started learning the cello since I was a kid, and over the years it has become a voice every bit as true to me as the one I use to speak. I have studied at the Royal Northen College of Music for six years where I graduated with a Distinction in MMus Performance. I have been consistently praised there for my strong sound, intense stage presence and overall powerful aura as a performer. The reason I perform- the thing I value in it the most is having the ability to communicate the most profound of emotions without a single word. This is good for the mind of the performer and the audience- music is not here to teach us facts, but remind us of our own experiences and console us, lift us up and bring out our best fantasies. I have considerable experience as a performer, having played in many weddings with my family but am particularly in my element as a solo performer.
