The approval of specialized critics and the audience’s response confirm Jorge Nava as one of the most promising pianists of Spain.
Born in Santander, started his musical education at the age of 5 with Irina Efanova in National Conservatory od Music in Bolivia and Llorenç Reboud in Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. He got his bachelor degree as a student of Stanislav Pochekin, currently he is a student of Ashley Wass in Royal College of Music, thanks to the support of the Botin Foundation.
He has received advice from great pianists as Boris Berman, Nino Kereselidze, Ervin Nagy, Ralph Gothoni, Lang Lang, Dmitri Alexeev, Felix Gottlieb, Lilya Zilbestein, Jacques Rouvier, Norma Fischer and Alexei Volodin among others.
During his ongoing career he has been awarded a lot of competitions such as: National Piano Competition “Abril en Tarija” (Bolivia), National Piano Competition “Mario Estenssoro Vásquez” (Bolivia), National Piano Competition “Totora” (Bolivia), Intercentros Melómano Competition (Spain), National Piano Competition “Marisa Montiel” (Spain), International Piano Competition “Ciutat de Carlet” (Spain), National Piano Competition “Ciudad de Albacete” (Spain), National Piano Competition “Vilafranca del Penedes” (Spain), National Piano Competition “Infanta Cristina” (Spain), IKA 2013 (Germany), International Piano Competition “Eugenia Verdet” (Spain)
As chamber musician he has been a member of Anfaegtelse Quintet and Bruckner Trio and now he is working with violinist Asia J Antón de Vez.
As a soloist he has worked with orchestras such as Bolivia National Symphonic Orchestra, Conservatory Liceu Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of Catalunya, Elche Symphonic Orchestra, RTVE Symphonic Orchestra, Medellin Philharmonic.
He has participated in festivals such as International Santander Festival, Segovia Festival, Spanish music Festival in Cadiz, Otoño Musical Soriano, and Ubeda Festival, Felix Mendelssohn Festival, among others.
He has offered recitals in halls such as Palau de la música Catalana, Auditorio Pau Casals, Teatros del canal, Teatro Monumental de Madrid, Gran Teatro de Elche, y en otras ciudades como La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Viña del mar, Santander, Alcobendas, Córdoba, Málaga, Cádiz, Úbeda, Segovia, Murcia, Albacete, Gerona, Vilafranca del Penedés, Hamburg, Murrhardt y London.
