Formed in 2012 as a York "supergroup" comprised of members of long established bands The Blueprints and The Buccaneers, Jonny and the Dunebugs were only ever meant to play one gig; drummer Jonny's wedding. Since then, the band have kept going, playing well over 100 weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and festivals - even playing to circa 6,000 people at Ricoh Arena! Jonny and the Dunebugs knows how to get any party occasion going - and the dancefloor is always guaranteed to be filled with people shaking their hips! Giving people a good time is what this band does best - playing timeless rock n roll and soul hits that everyone knows and can groove to. This band doesn't do cheese - instead they play good time rock n roll and soul music to get those hips shaking and hands clapping! Every generation will find something to love here - which is why the dancefloor is full from start to finish, every single show!

Fantastic entertainment at our wedding. We couldn’t have been happier with the band. The dance floor was packed from the first note to the last. Jonny and the Dunebugs played our first dance which will live with us forever. Whenever we get chance we go and see them. As well as playing great music (unbelievably well) the Dunebugs are lovely, genuine people who’s passion for their art is obvious within minutes of speaking to them. The before and aftercare customer service was exemplar with efficient booking and an extremely fair price. 10/10, 5 star, touchdown. I fully recommend this band, for your wedding, party, pub, stadium; whatever the occasion, whatever the venue, they will not disappoint

I highly recommend this band, they played at our wedding and both myself and my husband couldn’t of been happier with them. They played a really good mix of songs and our wedding party were on their feet all night. The cherry on the cake was when they played my favourite song by Tina Turner. We still get complimented on how good our band was. I’m already thinking of another party that we can use Jonny and the Dunebugs

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Simple answer - YES!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is Two guitars, keyboard, bass and drums. Four of us sing for lovely vocal harmonies!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are flexible - please get in touch and we'll happily accomodate!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes - we do this at most gigs and are happy to do it!

How much time do you need to set up?

1 to 1.5 hours is the usual set up time needed.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We can definitely be flexible with the setlist and learn a few songs of your choice if needed - get in touch to discuss more!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes PA and disco lighting is included in our quote!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we will happily learn a few songs if requested in enough time before the event.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The fact that we get everyone up and dancing every gig! Our songs are so diverse reflecting the history of rock n roll so our performance is appealing to all ages. We are very high energy and we love to banter with the crowd and get a party atmosphere going every single show!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Almost too many to mention! Since we are from York we have performed at most York wedding venues - The Hospitium, The Merchant Advernturers Hall plus various hotels and pubs. We also play many beer festivals including headlining the massive York Beer Festival every year on the Knavesmire. We have even played Ricoh Arena to 6,000 people!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The rock n roll heroes definitely tick our boxes - The Stones, David Bowie - yes even The Beatles! Others include T Rex, The Kinks, The Who - you get the idea! We also have fans of Soul and Motown in the band and there are definitely some soul classics in the set to get people in the groove!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Ricoh Arena with All Saints and Rudimental for the Whitbread Summer Party to 6,000 people! What a gig and a very happy client! :)
