Jonny Moore is an 18 year old guitarist and composer studying on the University of Manchester's prestigious Music Degree course. At Manchester, Jonny is part of a diverse musical environment, holding the guitar position in the University Big Band as well as regularly performing in Chamber Concerts and many other projects, large or small. Despite his playing covering many styles, Jonny's primary focus is jazz music, and has received tuition from many of the country's greatest jazz musicians, including: Jason Rebello (Jeff Beck, Sting), Derek Nash (Jools Holland), Mark Armstrong (NYJO) and Nigel Price (James Taylor Quartet, Nigel Price Organ Trio). At present, Jonny is studying with respected Manchester guitarist and Professor of Electric Guitar at RNCM, Johnny Heyes. Jonny's previous achievements include recording for BBC television in MediaCityUK with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, playing in the pit band for numerous musicals and playing live with a range of ensembles.
