Jonny Greenwood

Jonny Greenwood is a versatile composer / performer of electric and classical guitar styles, session guitarist and guitar tutor He has provided live performance session work playing acoustic guitar for pop singer Gareth Gates, also has worked with UK based artist and Producer David Lawrie both as a live session guitarist and in the studio. Classical guitar music can add a special ambiance to an event without being overly intrusive and is well suited to wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions and meals. Jonny is a consummate performer of Classical guitar music with over 3 hours of authentic Spanish and classical guitar music as well as some traditional flamenco pieces and finger-style pop arrangements. He has performed for numerous Weddings and restaurants. Jonny gives regular background performances across Yorkshire having played for the Fauconberg Arms Coxwold, Aldea Tapas Holmfirth, The Treasurer’s House – York Ambiente Tapas – Leeds, The Crown at Roecliffe, The Kilnwick Percy Golf club, The New Inn at Easingwold, The George Hotel – Easingwold, David Mellor’s Design Museum – Peak District national Park, The Crown and Cusion at Wellburn and The Bay Tree, Stillington. He has also given solo recitals for York Theater Royal, Fortyfive vinyl cafe, “On our Turf Festival” run by York Theatre Royal bringing performing arts to rural towns around York, as well as “Brewhouse arts festival” at York Brewery and Tsunami appeal Fundraiser at “The Light Church”. He has also performed in various theatre pit bands including productions of We Will Rock You, Starlight Express, Our Day out, Honk, Alice in Wonderland and most recently The Nativity at the Grand Opera house York.
