From traditional folk rebel to urbane popster to hard rockin' dude, Jono is an accomplished and versatile solo performer, equally comfortable in front of quiet, discerning audiences, or party animals baying for mayhem. With 25 years’ experience as a semi-pro musician and entertainer, he currently fronts south west pop rock trio Sack the Juggler! His solo set comprises oldskool classics across the genres from the 60s to the 00s. Audiences chill to mellow folk, rock out to Bowie, Stones or Floyd, skank with Bob Marley or reel around a traditional ceilidh jig. His rich baritone voice is accompanied by a Martin or Fender guitar, looper, percussion pad and stompbox - expect open G rock 'n' roll to be followed by a drop D indie classic, or a tender John Martyn love song in an esoteric tuning. Predominantly playing covers to entertain, Jono has nevertheless written plenty of his own material. As well as a 100% commitment to producing memorable evenings of popular music, Jono takes pride in his reliability, and professional approach to health and safety. He uses top equipment*, is sensitive to clients' needs, and flexible regarding logistics and environments. Allegedly a proper grownup, he has his very own car, a current passport, and enough p.a. equipment to fill larger venues if required, all of which is PAT tested. He loves to travel and speaks good French in addition to his native English. He's unphased by high pressure situations, happy to dep at short notice, or collaborate online in order to distance-rehearse. He plays for the love of playing but is disciplined, organised and reliable, comfortable working with similarly like-minded professionals.
