Jonathan Vinten

As pianist with George Melly and John Chilton’s Feetwarmers for over 10 years, I toured extensively, both at home and abroad, playing over 250 theatre concerts a year and making numerous TV and radio appearances. I also performed month-long Christmas seasons at Ronnie Scotts every year during this time. In recent years I have been a featured guest on tours in Germany, Switzerland and France. I have performed at the Los Angeles Jazz Festival, the prestigious Nice Jazz Festival and with many visiting American jazz greats including Wild Bill Davison, Kenny Davern, Warren Vache, Al Casey and Benny Waters. I have performed with the British bands of Acker Bilk, Terry Lightfoot and Kenny Ball and played at the BAFTA Awards, Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows, the National Theatre and Thaxted Arts Festival. I gained a Masters degree in Composition for Film and Television and have had my works performed at The Festival Hall in London. I have recently released my trio album ‘Lullaby of the Leaves’, proclaimed as ‘immaculately played swinging jazz’ by Alyn Shipton of BBC Radio 3.
