Jonathan is London based trumpet player who is passionate about entertaining others through music. As a graduate with a first class honours degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, he has trained diligently for five years under the close tutelage of notable players such as Antony Cross and Robert Farley. Jonathan always brings a degree of professionalism and class to all endeavours, especially when working professionally as a player. His robust classical training giving him huge versatility over genres from period to pop. He is always organised and communicates exceptionally well with clients both leading up to and post all performances. This attention to detail always results in a well prepared and polished event. When working alone, Jonathan is hired for a wide variety of events including; ceremonial events, wedding ceremonies, remembrance day, church services, Christmas events, marching events, rowdy sporting events, carol services, recitals and fanfares of all description. He also plays regularly with London Orchestras such as the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra (with which he has been the principal for over six years), the London Beethoven Orchestra and the London City Philharmonic. In the past Jonathan has held principal positions with well regarded student orchestras including the University of London Symphony orchestra, the Kings College London Symphony Orchestra, and the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra. He has performed Mahler’s sixth symphony with the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra at St John’s Smith Square. When not playing orchestral music Jonathan is a member and former soloist to the Royal Greenwich Brass band. He enjoys working with the “Mainly Madness” Ska band and frequently with his own party function band “Danger Goat” playing original music inspired from Latin America and Jewish Klezmer. Jonathan has been fortunate to perform at some of London’s most prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Trafalgar Square and in the Last Night of the Proms 2016 at the Royal Albert Hall. He has played professionally on the musicals “White Christmas” in Horsham and “Ragtime” at the Bishopsgate Institute in London Spitalfields. In his recreational time Jonathan loves to be active, playing hockey and football weekly. He enjoys a pint of ale whilst socialising with friends, as well as spending time exploring new places.
