Jon Salfield

Jon has been performing professionally for over 20 years, and has appeared around the UK and Europe as a soloist, as well as in various duos and ensembles. Having toured Poland and Germany with his brother, Lutenist Ben Salfield, and appeared on BBC World, Jon has gone on to perform with the Horsemen of the Apocalypse fusion quartet, and is one half of the Alegria duo with percussionist Simon Stanton. Festivals, concert work, weddings, themed events, parties and other special occasions are all familiar territory to Jon, whose lightning fingers, scintiillating improvisation and unique fusion of the rhythms of Spain and Latin-America with influences of North African music, jazz and other traditions have won him many admirers.
