About Jon

COVERS ACT: Jon Hart is a multi-award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, singer, beatboxer and looper. Imagine the sound of a live acoustic duo/trio played solo. Jon is an acoustic wedding guitarist and wedding singer that incorporates vocal harmony, fingerstyle guitar and the occasional beatboxing to add a unique twist to those classic covers from all eras (from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran). With a high energy solo performance and experience that spans over a decade, he leaves audiences craving more.By using specialist equipment (no backing tracks), Jon thickens the sound by using a vocal harmony pedal and looping pedal for beatboxing. This gives the impression there are many musicians, or even a small band playing. Jon's setup is small and can fit into all venues, but can still create a sound that is powerful or intimate. -- ORIGINAL ACT: Jon S. Hart has received critical acclaim from across the acoustic guitar world for his debut album ‘Reborn’ (co-produced by Chris Woods Groove), folk-fingerstyle album 'Set Adrift' with Daryl Kellie and three EPs ‘Defuse’, ‘Sticks & Stones’ and ‘Momento’ (the latter produced by Declan Zapala). He has toured throughout the UK (recently with Maneli Jamal) and Europe, with performances at Isle of Wight Festival, London Acoustic Guitar Show, The Turner Sims Concert Hall, and Ullapool Guitar Festival where he co-headlined with fingerstyle legend Preston Reed. Growing up on the Isle of Wight, Jon was musical from an early age picking up the piano at 5 and then moving on to guitar and singing at 8. Before he found his acoustic calling, he fronted many bands, touring America with hard rock band Zhain and supporting Orbital and Gin Wigmore with Drum n Bass Rock outfit Opinaut. After equipping himself with a National Diploma at Platform One and a BA Hons in Music from Southampton University, he has now built up strong foundations in Surrey with multi-award-winning functions, in-demand guitar tuition and highly recommended session work. In late 2016/early 2017, Jon teamed up with fellow fingerstyle guitarist Daryl Kellie and put together a unique collaboration album ‘Set Adrift’, which was inspired by a short musical tour on a narrow boat along the River Thames last summer. This five-day journey resulted in a ten- track album drawing influences from fingerstyle, folk and jazz. The guys toured the album around the UK back in spring. In late 2017 Jon toured the UK with world-class world fingerstyle guitarist Maneli Jamal in collaboration with Cole Clark Guitars UK. This was part of the build-up to his 3rd album, which will be released late 2018 along with more tours and video singles. Watch this space!

Jon was fantastic from the moment we contacted him, we booked him to come out to our wedding in Marrakesh, he was great at organising himself in terms of logistics and transport - keeping us informed of everything. He has a great repertoire, pretty extensive and enough for everyone. He was very flexible in that he was able to move location last minute in terms of where he played, able to bring out his own equipment ( the venue had next to none). On the night he sounded great playing my wife down the aisle and when playing his midnight set got everyone singing along to Wonderwall - so amazing! really got everyone into the spirit of it and night to remember forever - thanks Jon!

We booked Jon to play at our wedding last month - both at our church service and a set at our evening reception. He was professional, adaptable and very friendly and we would highly recomend him for any event. At the church, we had a song request that wasn't on his list yet he went above and beyond to learn and perfect an accoustic version and it absolutely amazing (and bought a tear to the eyes of many guests!). He set the tone for the evening by getting everyone on their feet, dancing and singing along to selection of fantastic covers that he had recomended. Jon - thank you for all your hardwork and for making our day so special. Cath and James x
