Since graduating from college with a 1st class honours degree Jon has lived and worked around Leeds as a freelance musician and has been fortunate enough to play with many well-known artists, including Gloria Gaynor, Jack Jones, Katrina (of Katrina & The Waves), Matt Monro Jnr and Ricky Valance. He has performed at prestigious venues including the London Paladium, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Atlantis The Palm Dubai, The Sage Gateshead and most of the UK's premier theatres. Jon is an accomplished and sensitive accompanist, proficient at both sight-reading and improvisation, and frequently plays for graded music exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Guildhall) as well as playing for ballet classes and exams. He works as class accompanist at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. His current major projects are playing with the London Elektricity Big Band (on Hospital Records) and co-producing the show Up On The Roof, a celebration of the music of James Taylor and Carole King.
