Johnny Rocket and The Retros are a 5 piece Rock 'n' Roll band playing music from the 1950s and 1960s right up to present, giving audiences across the North West lively, professional performances with exceptional musicianship. Formed in 2014 the band consists of Claire- Lead Vocals, John- Lead Guitar and Vocals, Andy - Bass Guitar and vocals, Rich - Drums and Vocals and Mike - Keyboard. All the band have had at least 15 years experience in performing with various other groups and now they bring all that experience together to become one of the North West's finest Rock'n'Roll acts. Perfect for birthdays, wedding receptions, corporate events, as well as for live music venues, we guarantee to bring your event to life!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are a fun, lively and flexible group, doing are upmost to tailor our performance to your event.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

As part of the Liverpool Rock'n'Roll Marathon series we have played a number of times on the Liverpool Town Hall Balcony.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up currently consists of: Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Drums and Bass. If small band is required then we are able to discuss this need with potential clients.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are always flexible with timings to assist with events running smoothly. If there is a change then we just ask that in the run up to the event that we are informed and can therefore alter plans accordingly.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional cost depending on additional time required.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1.5 - 2 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we require time to sound check and can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Unfortunately no - this is not currently an option for any of our performances.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are created by us learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have the best time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes we provide all our own PA and lighting for events.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you for a maximum of 3 songs per event. If we feel that the song choice is not something might add to future sets then we may charge a fee of £20 to take into account rehearsal time etc.
