Known as John "The Voice" Royce by his contempories, his memorable sound and tone make him a favourite with audiences. John has been singing and entertaining audiences since primary school. He will fill your event with fun and excitement for a truly memorable event. Forming his first band whilst at Grammar school he has continued to perform in the pubs and clubs all over the North of England ever since. John sings many genres of music, from Classic Rock and Pop to Country covering songs from the late 50s and beyond. He brings his unique singing style and voice now to entertain up and down the UK and working with other bands and projects. Recently John has been chosen to front the legendary North East live band "My Generation" The Sounds of the Sixties show. When asked about being chosen to be the "Frontman" and Lead Singer John said " to be asked to join such a successful and popular band is one of the highlights of my singing career, I'm really looking forward to meeting their fans once the new live show hits the road" John is also a member of the Musician's Union.

Had a great night in Billingham where John was playing at a micro pub in the village. His song selection was varied and very entertaining. He had us all singing along. Best night out in ages.

Looking for great entertainment for a special family event? This could be the one for you. Offering a great choice of songs and genres, sing-a-long and those to get everyone up on the dance floor havibng fun. Use of my professional PA equipment to make speeches and announcements. We can discuss any special requests and other bespoke services you may require.

Fully self contained show, promotion of the Charity, use for my PA to make speeches, Custom set list where possible, support with announcemets and prize draws etc. Meet & greet with audience members to improve donations etc.

A tailored set list to suit a range of corporate events. A balanced performance intended to suit the atmosphere of the day, wether that be motivational songs , easy listening (to allow conversations between guests and attendees) or all out exciting and dance numbers for maximum enjoyment. I will offer the use of my equipment for speeches, announcements and awards etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

They love the "banter" between some songs and that I build rapport with the audience

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at venues all over the UK since I was a teenager, distance is usually no issue.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

My vocal style has been influenced largely by David Byron of Uriah Heep, although there are many others who haved had an impact on my style such as Nat-King Cole, Roy Orbison to name just two.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

During the Covid-19 pandemic I performed to over 2000 viewers via social media. (if only "buy me a coffee" was available then ;)......) The feedback that I recieved was overwhelming.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, get in touch to discuss revisions.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I regularly offer this service and have a wide range of songs and genres to choose from

How much time do you need to set up?

Set up and soundcheck is usually 60 - 90 minutes before the performance time. I can also provide background music to set the atmosphere and get your guests primed for the show.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes! The set list is arranged from years of performances but I'm happy to discuss your thoughts and needs to ensure everyone has a great time.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely, including Lighting where requested.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. Should you have a particular song you'd like me to learn, I'm happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
