I'm an experienced piano player who has played for hundreds of weddings, corporate events and private parties over the past 30 years. If you book me you can choose a bespoke playlist of anything you want -- from the Beatles to Bowie, from Ray Charles to Radiohead, from Kate Bush to Taylor Swift, from Motown to musicals. Give me a few days and I'm happy to learn any new or unfamiliar songs that you want me to play. I prefer to play acoustic pianos but also have my own portable digital piano and amplifier, fully PAT-tested, with full personal liability insurance.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I have a very good ear and am able to play piano arrangements of a huge range of songs. I've played whole sets of jazz standards, ragtime tunes and songs from musicals, but I've also played sets of music by The Fall, The Smiths, the Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift and many more.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Numerous churches, community halls, historic venues, restaurants, atriums and private parties.

Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Burt Bacharach, Herbie Hancock, Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, Kate Bush, Bill Evans, David Bowie, The Beatles.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

At Brixton Academy for a corporate party.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Happy to play longer or shorter sets as required, also happy to adapt times to suit meals or services.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes

How much time do you need to set up?

If I'm bringing my own equipment, about 40 minutes. With an installed piano, about 10 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, very open to all suggestions and even to a completely bespoke playlist. Am also happy to put together a list of songs based on very basic requests, and to tailor them according to the ages and sensibilities of the audience.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I prefer to play acoustic pianos in venues, but I am very happy to bring my own digital piano and amplification to set up in the venue.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, this is very much my USP. Happy to learn any pop song or showtune, within reason, from the last 80 years or so, if it translates to solo piano.
