I play across Essex, in Kent, around London and elsewhere. I’m a regular on the Camden acoustic scene. I got to the final of Essex undiscovered and I’ve played the main stage at Leigh on Sea folk festival. I’ve released 2 albums of original songs and several singles (all available on streamline services) I’ve played in restaurants, clubs, pubs, at festivals and family parties. I am acoustic guitar based but I use a drum machine to liven up certain songs. I provide a wealth of experience in playing and can provide a service tailored to your needs.

John made our party a great success. He produced a great interval play list and performed the live entertainment we were looking for, at a good volume to allow us to talk as well as listen. It was a bonus that we met John at a previous venue and were able to get a good preview that he was exactly what we were looking for to perform at our celebration. Our guests were impressed and commented this to us. We wish John success in his future performances. Thanks very much.

I’ve booked John Paul several times for the night I organise called Traitors Select. A mixture of local artists of various styles. John Paul always gives a good performance, playing a good mix of lively and lovely songs. He’s also reliable. I don’t have to worry if he’ll show up or not. He’ll definitely be asked again to play

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I’d always do my best to accommodate and help out.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I always do anyway. Normally use Spotify, so if you request specific songs that can be done.

How much time do you need to set up?

Roughly 30mins

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course. Will do what I can to help.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Possibly- depends on how close to the event (and how difficult the song is!!)

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think it’s they tend to be lively because I use a drum machine, which makes a huge difference in comparison to other acoustic guitar acts. (Please note I play many gigs without to if the client or venue require it. For example in restaurants) And I’m very friendly (will talk to anyone!)
