I hired Joel and a DJ for a private event recently. They had good equipment, worked with me to create a personalised setlist to my liking, kept the crowd engaged, and were professional throughout the whole process. There’s nothing about the process that I would change, it was faultless. Would recommend!

Hired Joel + DJ for a performance at my Mum’s birthday party. They were both professional and exceptionally talented! They used good equipment, played very well and made the party so much better :) Not only did they engage well with the crowd, but were polite and helpful to me and my family, even helping with us to create the set list. I couldn’t recommend them more, they came and gave our party the best vibe!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients consistently love my ability to create professional, personalised and engaging experiences for events. "nothing but positive feedback from guests" "it was faultless" "I highly recommend him"

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've performed in a variety of different venues, ranging from small venues to large upscale events. Venues include: Royal Festival Hall, QE II Hall, Pizza Express Live and Birmingham Symphony Hall, as well as many wedding venues such as Quantock Lakes, Ash Barton Estate, The Arlington Rooms, Mapperton House and many more!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am influenced by a huge range of artists from Charlie Parker to Stevie Wonder, Lovely Laura to Jamiroquai and Ray Charles to Jimmy Sax.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

A sold out gig at Mr Kyps, Poole, just before it closed its doors for the final time. I played sax and the EWI-4000s for a local, who subsequently booked me to record for her second EP.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We will try to be flexible to ensure the smooth running of your event. Please let us know if our timings change and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We have a well curated playlist for this exact purpose. We'll throw an iPod/DJ service in for free between set, but if you want a DJ to match your vibe and take you through to the end of your night, you can get this as an add on!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up 1.5 hours in advance, to make sure that every is as seamless as possible. As soon as our PA is set up, we'll get you started with our playlist to help set the mood.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are created through time, finding out what draws in a crowd to the dance floor and keeps them there, but we can absolutely chat and work something you are happy with for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

We bring all equipment that we need. If you want an amplified set, lighting, or our DJ add on, we will of course need access to electricity.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a song (or two) you have your heart set on, there is a chance we already know it! We can of course learn requests though if needed. Depending on how many requests you have, we may have to charge a small fee (£20) per song.
