About JoeNev

Singing guitarist

Public liability insurance of £5 million

From the heart of Shropshire comes JoeNev, a guitarist and vocalist whose music refuses to sit still. Blending soul, funk, reggae, pop and beyond, JoeNev crafts a sound as eclectic as his journey, driven by a deep groove, fearless musicianship, and a voice full of feeling. Inspired by the raw energy of James Brown and the expressive fire of Carlos Santana, his performances are grounded in soul and lifted by skilful, expressive guitar playing. JoeNev’s musical story began early, when he found his rhythm in a church band, where funk laid the foundation for a lifelong love of performance. From there, his path widened, playing guitar across a remarkable range of styles including soul, pop, funk, Soca, reggae and smooth ballroom music. This versatility has seen him move effortlessly between intimate venues and large festival stages, always adapting his sound while staying true to his groove-led roots. His live shows are where JoeNev truly comes alive. Charismatic, energetic and deeply connected to the music, he brings an infectious presence to the stage, the kind that pulls audiences in and keeps them locked into every note. His performances have taken him to major events such as the Skegness Reggae and Ska Festival and the Nottingham Music Festival, cementing his reputation as a compelling and dynamic live act. As a solo artist performing under Joe Nev Music, he is stepping confidently into the spotlight, with official releases planned from May 2026. This next chapter promises to showcase the full scope of his sound, soulful, rhythmic, and shaped by years of experience across genres and stages.
