My name is Joe Rayfield and music is my passion! I believe that when a performer is needed, they have to be passionate about what they do. This brings out the best in a performance and really sets the mood at a venue or event. I am an acoustic Singer-Songwriter that can create a wide range of atmospheres depending on the clients needs! Whether that is chilled out acoustic music, ballads or lively songs which listeners can sing and dance along to. I believe that versatility is very important, as not all listeners or audiences are the same. And not all clients needs are the same. I like to interact with my audience and encourage them to sing along. I also love to captivate listeners which is something I find acoustic style music is best at. Performing and writing music is my passion. It always has been and always will be.

I booked Joe to play at my friend’s garden birthday party on the 25th of June 2022. It was a fantastic party and the music that Joe played for everybody was perfect for the occasion. He played a real range of music which I found catered for everyone’s music tastes. On top of this, he was also a very kind and easy to get along with person. I am planning on hosting more events at this venue and would definitely hire Joe again to play for us. Graham Jamieson, Wellington, England.

Joe is such a talent. He attended our market event this Summer and created a wonderful vibe with his laid back acoustic style, it was just what we were after! So many of our visitors commented on how great he was. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I offer a real mix of music genres and styles! For example a lot of my songs will be my voice and acoustic guitar. However I do often use a loop pedal to change up the peformance and keep listeners on the edge of their seats.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I peformed recently for a huge platinum jubilee event at Bridwell Manor. Well over 2,000 people attended. An aristocrat of the Royal Family lives at and runs the venue, so it really made the platinum jubilee feel that more special and real. It was a pleasure to play at what was a fantastic event!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I would say Ed Sheeran has influenced me a lot. However, having grown up in a 'The Beatles' loving household, I would say I also have been influenced by a lot of music from many generations before Ed Sheeran. Such as of course, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Coldplay.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The most high profile gig I have peformed is actually the Platinum Jubilee event at Bridwell Manor which I mentioned before. It felt surreal to play at an event such as this!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I understand that timings can change when events are being organised for a multitude of reasons. If you just try to let me know as soon as possible that is great!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can! I can't provide DJ music per se, but I do play music by plugging my phone into my PA system between my sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

Typically, 1 - 1.5 hours before the set begins. Providing that a location for where I am playing has already been organised.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I can definitely play a specific genre or era of music providing that this has been requested before the event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring all of my equipment. The only thing that would need to be provided for me is electricity at the venue.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I can! I will still need time to learn and practice the requested song(s) before the event. I do not currently charge anybody for requesting me to learn a song or songs. So don't worry about any posible additional fees. I will learn a maximum of 3 requested songs. Providing that the song or songs are requested 3 weeks or more before the event.
