He is renowned for his powerful renditions of well-known pop/folk/rock/indie songs and has built a reputation for his performances at weddings and private corporate events. What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be as flexible as possible to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Of course! This is often a popular request from clients. I am able to play your favourite songs through my PA system in between sets and for up to 45 minutes after the sets have finished. I will take requests during this time and provide a microphone. I provide this for an additional £50. If you require any longer, let me know and I'll provide a quote.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Should you require me to set up earlier just let me know!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests are dancing during the second set. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works best for you.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Absolutely. I bring all of my own equipment, including; a full PA system, mixing desk, leads, microphone, acoustic & electric guitars.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

f a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am more than happy to do this for you. There is a fee of for this service to take into account rehearsal time etc. Please see the 'add-on' section to view prices.

Having Joe sing at our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! The mix of songs were perfect for us and our guests loved him. He got everyone up dancing from to start to finish. Would fully recommend him for any event. Amazing!

We were absolutely blown away last night by the amazing Joe Doonan. Joe has an amazing voice that just captured everyone in the room. Not only that but he is such an approachable guy and a pleasure to be around. We could have listened to him all night. We have no problems in recommending Joe for any event and cannot wait for him to visit York again when we will most definetely be there to watch. Top top night, brilliant, amazing.

We listened to over 100 artists trying to find someone who fitted our vibe for our wedding. Someone who liked our indie rock type of music, and would be happy to learn a few songs especially for our day. Then we found Joe. From start to finish he was communicative, nothing was too much trouble, and he travelled all the way to Snowdonia to do our wedding. Joe agreed to play acoustic guitar instrumentals during our ceremony as we wanted a ‘live’ atmosphere, and then came to our reception and did a further 2 x sets in the evening, singing and playing live. Not only is Joe a fantastic singer, but a genuinely nice and down to earth guy. What an absolute pleasure to have you as part of our wedding day Joe. This guy could seriously charge an awful lot more than he does, but instead he remains affordable to appeal to all audiences. Highly recommend! (Needless to say, superb voice and guitarist! Such a talented and cool guy!)
