Joanna has a MA in Music from Cambridge University and then studied at
the Royal College of Music supported by a Soirée d’Or Award and The
Kathleen Trust. She is a Making Music Philip & Dorothy Green Awards
for Young Concert Artists winner (2015), was a Britten-Pears Young
Artist (2014) and participated in ENO Opera Works(2014-15). She has
sung the role of Lisette in Imago (Glyndebourne 2013), Flora in The
Turn of the Screw(Glyndebourne Festival Opera 2007/2011), Amore in
L’Incorinazione di Poppea (RCMIOS 2012), Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro
(Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme 2014), Juliet in The Little
Sweep (Windsor Spring Festival 2014), Forastiero in L’Ospedale
(Solomon’s Knot 2014) and Dew Fairy and Sandman in Hänsel und Gretel
(West Green Opera 2014 and covered for Garsington Opera 2013). She was
awarded first place in the Brooks-Van der Pump English Song
Competition (2013) and second place in the Maureen Lehane competition
(2012), the Thelma King Award for Singers (2014) and the Sir Anthony
Lewis Memorial Competition (2008). She was a finalist in Hampshire
Singing Competition, Bampton Singing Competition and Emmy Destinn
Competition (2013). Joanna studies with Jenevora Williams.
